Calls & trading
Trading
Glimz prepares the trade, you sign it in your own wallet. Glimz never holds your keys or your funds.
Glimz can take you from a call to a trade without leaving the app. It prepares the swap. You sign every trade in your own wallet. This is Manual mode, and it is live.
What Glimz does and doesn't do
- It prepares the trade: finds a route, gets a quote and builds the transaction.
- You sign it. Nothing happens until you approve it in your wallet.
- It never holds your keys or your funds. There is no Glimz wallet you deposit into. Glimz is never custodial.
- It never trades on its own in Manual mode.
Where it works
| Chain | Trading | Routed through |
|---|---|---|
| Solana | Live | Jupiter |
| Base | Live | KyberSwap |
| Ethereum | Planned | — |
| BNB Chain | Planned | — |
Wallets
- Solana: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack.
- Base: MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet and other browser wallets. If your wallet isn't on Base, the app switches it, or adds Base first.
You still sign in to Glimz with Google. Your wallet is only used to sign trades.
Step by step
- Start a trade. Ask Glimz AI ("buy $50 of <token address>") or use the Trade box on a coin page.
- Pick what you pay with: the chain's native coin (SOL on Solana, ETH on Base) or USDC.
- Pick a max slippage: 0.5%, 1% (the default), 3% or 5%.
- Read the card. It shows:
- what you pay,
- about what you get,
- the minimum you get after slippage,
- the price impact, with a warning above 3%,
- the route.
- Connect your wallet if it isn't connected yet.
- Approve, on Base only, when needed. Spending USDC or another token on Base first asks for an approval of exactly the trade amount. Never unlimited.
- Sign the swap in your wallet. The trade goes on-chain from your wallet.
A quote is valid for 90 seconds. After that, refresh it before you sign.
Safety
- Check the card before you sign. Your wallet shows the same transaction; if anything looks different, reject it.
- Mind the price impact. Above 3% the card warns you. Thin coins can cost far more than the quote suggests.
- Slippage is a limit, not a target. If the price moves past it, the swap fails instead of filling at a worse price.
- Exact approvals only. Glimz never asks for an unlimited allowance.
