Verdicts
How Looks clean, Caution and High risk are decided, and why every verdict shows the factors behind it.
Every token page ends in one of three verdicts. A verdict is decided by fixed rules, not by the agent's mood. The same facts always give the same verdict.
| Verdict | What it means |
|---|---|
| Looks clean | None of the risk rules fired, on the checks that could run. |
| Caution | One or more warning signs. Worth a closer look before you act. |
| High risk | At least one serious risk factor, such as a token that can't be sold. |
The rules
Each rule reads a fact from a skill. A High risk rule on its own makes the verdict High risk; any Caution rule makes it at least Caution.
| Rule | Caution | High risk | Comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honeypot (a simulated sale fails or can't sell everything) | — | Always | Contract scan |
| Sell tax | Over 3% | Over 10% | Contract scan |
| Buy tax | Over 10% | — | Contract scan |
| Owner can take ownership back, hidden owner, owner can change balances, self-destruct | — | Always | Contract scan |
| Owner can mint, pause transfers, blacklist wallets or change the tax; upgradeable proxy; unverified source | Always | — | Contract scan |
| Mint authority or freeze authority still active, permanent delegate (Solana) | — | Always | Contract scan |
| Transfer fee (Solana Token-2022) | Any | Over 10% | Contract scan |
| Top 10 real wallets (pools, locks and burns excluded) | Over 30% of supply | Over 50% | Holder map |
| Largest single real wallet | Over 15% | Over 30% | Holder map |
| Pool liquidity locked or burned | Under 50% | Rugcheck flags a large unlocked LP (Solana) | Liquidity lock |
| Total liquidity | Under $10,000 | — | Liquidity lock |
| Loss on a $1,000 sell (price impact + fees) | Over 5% | Over 15%, or no route at all | Exit check |
| Creator deployed a honeypot before | — | Always | Deployer history |
| Creator still holds | Over 10% of supply | — | Deployer history |
| Linked insider wallets hold (Solana) | Over 10% | Over 25% | Insider check |
Two more rules keep the verdict honest when data is missing:
- If the contract scan couldn't run, the verdict is at least Caution: its permissions are unknown.
- If fewer than half of the checks returned data, the verdict can't be Looks clean.
From rules to a verdict
- No rule fired (and enough checks returned data) → Looks clean.
- Only Caution rules fired → Caution.
- Any High risk rule fired → High risk.
When checks can't run
If a skill can't run on a chain (see Supported chains), its factors aren't checked, and the verdict says which checks are missing. A Looks clean with missing checks means "nothing found in what we could check". Nothing more.
What a verdict is not
- Not a prediction. Looks clean doesn't mean the price will go up. High risk doesn't mean it will go to zero.
- Not the call. The verdict is about safety only. The Buy or not call uses it, plus liquidity, demand, momentum and age. Neither is financial advice.
- Not an audit. It covers what the skills can check on that chain, today.
Verdicts change
A verdict reflects the chain right now. A token can go from Looks clean to High risk when a lock ends or a big holder moves. A risk change watcher tells you when that happens.
Verdicts are graded
Every verdict is logged in the public signal ledger and graded 24 hours later against what actually happened.
